What does being an upholsterer mean to you?
Being an upholsterer allows me to be creative and help bring my customers’ visions to life.

How did you get started in upholstery?
When I could not find someone local to do my 1955 Ford interior, I learned how to do it on my own. After that, I realized there was a need for upholstery in my local area, so I started my own business.

What types of upholstery do you do?
I do car interiors, boats, and furniture.

How long have you been upholstering?
I have been doing upholstery for 4 years now.

What is your biggest customer demand?
Bow headliners and vehicle interiors.

What is your favorite project you’ve done?
 Full interior on a 1957 Chevy Bel Air.

What is the strangest item you’ve found in restoration?
Reused burlap from an aluminum manufacturer was in the seat of a 1946 Ford Woody.

Have you noticed any up and coming trends?
Plaid and 2” pleating.


What changes would benefit the upholstery industry?
It would be helpful if companies provided free sample books so the customers can see the product before buying it and it helps us sell the product. The shipping costs are also very high at some places.

Have you ever been featured on television, online, or another publication?
No, other than people sharing my Facebook posts and word of mouth.
