What does being an upholsterer mean to you?
Being an upholsterer means being able to restore the things of the past for enjoyment for the future.
How did you get started in upholstery?
N-Motion Upholstery became a family business born from the restoration of a 1940 Ford Coupe!
What types of upholstery do you do?
Auto, marine, and motorcycles.


How long have you been upholstering?
We’ve been doing this for 30+ years!
What is your biggest consumer demand?
We do a lot of headliners and seat repairs.
What is your favorite upholstery project you've done?
The full custom interior in a 1964 Ford Galaxy


What is the strangest item you've found in a restoration?
One time we had seat frames that were completely encapsulated in a beehive and honeycomb.
Have you noticed any up and coming trends?
We’ve been seeing more and more ‘70s and ‘80s trucks and SUVs – Broncos, Wagoneers, Blazers, etc.


What changes would benefit the upholstery industry?
Less structural components made from plastic

No, we haven’t!
