Note: Albright's Supply currently only carries PLAIN grommets.
When it comes to reinforcing holes in fabric for ropes, cords, or wires, grommets are the go-to solution for many upholsterers. These small but mighty components consist of two pieces that press together through a pre-punched hole to strengthen the material, preventing tearing or fraying. Whether you’re working on curtains, tarps, sails, flags, or bags, grommets offer durability and clean, professional results.

Where Are Grommets Used?
While most commonly seen in window treatments and drapery panels, grommets are also widely used in outdoor and industrial applications—including marine upholstery, tents, banners, bags, and even fashion items. Essentially, any project requiring a secure pass-through for cords or fasteners can benefit from grommet reinforcement.
